By His Word................John 1:1
|
"ENTHRONED" indicates that wherever God's people exalt His name, He is ready to manifest His kingdom's power in the way most appropriate to the situation, as His rule is invited to invade our setting. The presence of God's kingdom power is directly related to the practice of God's praise. Praise will bring the presence of God! Although God is everywhere present, there is a distinct manifestation of His rule, which enters the environment of praise. In Psalm 150:1-6 He commands Praise!! (He knows what it will do for us!) (The word praise here in Hebrew is HALAH meaning to Praise with a loud voice, to boast, to celebrate, to rave about Him. (The root word for hallelujah) to be clamorously foolish. The most primitive meaning of halal is "to cause to shine." So with our praise, we are throwing the spotlight on our God who is Worthy to be praised and glorified.) Psa 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Psa 150:2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Psa 150:3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Psa 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Psa 150:5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Psa 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Praise is the pathway to Gods presence: In His presence is fullness of Joy!! The Joy of the Lord is our strength!! Psa 100:4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name. Psa 95: 1 0 come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Psa 95:2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms.
Praise is our God Given Garment It drives away the spirit of heaviness. It will cast off oppressive works of darkness
Isa 61 :3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Praise drives away the spirit of heaviness. It will cast off oppressive works of darkness.
Praise Silences the Enemy !!
Psa 8:2 From the mouth of infants and nursing babes Thou hast established strength, Because of Thine adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease. Mat 21: 15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, Mat 21 :16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
David knew the POWER of PRAISE! David knew Praise and Worship had the power to confuse the enemy, turn them aside, and when he would release the Praise and Worship weapon it would release God to work on his behalf. (Ps. 149:5-9) Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord!! (2 Samuel 22:3,4) The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Paul and Silas literally shook the heavens as they released the Praise and Worship weapon. Grabbing hold and binding with fetters and chains o iron evil forces in the heavenlies. Acts 16:25.26 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
We see in 2 Chronicles chapter 20 that a great multitude was coming against Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. Notice what the Lord told him to do. ( 2 Chronicles 20: 21,22 ,) 21And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever. 22Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon , Moab , and Mount Seir , who had come against Judah ; and they were defeated. 23For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.
There are Varieties of Praise in the Hebrew and Greek: Hebrew Halai to shine, to boast, to rave, to celebrate, to be clamorously Ps. 150 Yadah to extend our hand, to throw out in worship. Ps. 52:9 Towdah To extend our hand in adoration. Ps.50:23; Ps. 67:5 Barak to kneel, to bless, to salute. Ps. 103: 1,2,20,21,22 Shaback to shout with a loud voice, to commend. 1 Chron. 16:35 Tehillah to sing praise, a hymn. A celebration, a lauding of someone praiseworthy Ps. 71:8 Zamar To touch the strings, to pluck the stings of an instrument. Ps. 57:7
N.T. Greek Aineo Praise by boasting and celebrating. Acts 2:47; 3:8-9 Heb. 13:15 Lk.2:13 Doxa Glory, honor, worship I Peter 4:11 Elogia to bless, to praise Eph. 1:3; I Peter 1:3; Rev. 5:12; 13:7-12
Since God is
enthroned in the praises, worship is the key to entering fully
into His presence. The concept here in Psalm 22:3 is that
praise releases God's glory, thus bring to the worshipers actualized
responses of His kingly reign. His enthroned responses through the
Holy Spirit can take many forms, such as prophecy, healings,
miracles, affirmation to individual hearts, a call to referential
silence and awe, conviction of sin, and salvation of sinners. This
verse should be a guiding goal for all personal and
corporate worship times. |
